Welcome to the Official Web site of the Connecticut Yankees Rugby Football Club.
Founded in 1975, we have been playing an active part in the Rugby scene in Connecticut and New England. We have competed in both MetroNY (MetNY) Rugby Union and most recently in the New England Rugby Football Union (NERFU). In June 2004, we became the USA Rugby National Division II Men's Champions, & were then promoted to the NERFU Division I Men's competition.
Based in Fairfield County, in southwestern Connecticut (an easy 45 mile train or auto commute North East of Manhattan - see insert map ) we practice & play our home matches in the seaside town of Norwalk, Connecticut. We currently field Division I 1st & 2nd XV sides, complemented by the occassional Old Boys team fixture. We also support a CT. Yankees Womens side that participate in the Womens Division II competition of NERFU. We are also heavily involved in local Youth Programs in the Fairfield County area.
